     do not listen to the people that tell you that ventones works. it no longer does for alltel. alltel blocked it a few months ago. the only thing you can do and it does not work for all alltel phones is you have to have someone with a smartphone send you ringers in text form and you save them to your phone. i have alltel i have that i can't make my own ringtones

      Then send it to your phone... Your phone will think it's a picture message when it's really a sound clip. Then you can set it as your ringtone just like any other ring tone.

      It's a little trick a friend showed me.
